Brandon was raised in the Charleston, West Virginia area. He grew up loving airplanes, as he got older, he realized that he could use aviation as a tool. Slowly, our Father changed his priorities from aviation. Africa seemed to come to the surface when his burden grew greater. Several colleges shut down their aviation program while he was in it. He then moved on to Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA where he met his lovely wife Heather. He knew he wanted a wife who would accompany him to Africa. After many attempts to find a woman willing "to live in a dung hut in Africa" he found the one! Eventually he was able to finish and graduate with his degree in Aviation. He now has finished his Masters degree in professional counseling.

Heather grew up in Abilene, Texas. Throughout her high school years, she developed a great burden for the people of Sudan, especially in the Darfur region. Her junior year, she became painfully aware of the darkness not only in Sudan, but in countries all over Africa, and knew that our Father had called her to go and take the Light to the people there. She attended college at Liberty University, obtaining her degree in Inter-Cultural Studies, with a minor in Greek. She hopes to use her Greek studies to work on translation for the people she and Brandon will eventually work among.

Currently, we are pursuing options so that we can head to the field. We are blessed to be working while beginning raising support. Brandon is an instructor at Liberty University's AMTS (Aviaiton Maintenance Technician School), and Heather works at Liberty University's Registrar's office as a graduate transfer evaluator. We truly believe, however, that our Father has given us this time to grow and develop into the people He has designed us to be. We are learning how to love one another as He loves us, and He is revealing the things in our lives that we need to work on. Though we sometimes desire to be in Africa now, we are thankful for this time to prepare ourselves to Light the Way.
